X-Men: Days of Future Past (the cover of EW’s Summer Movie Preview) not only brings original X-Men castmembers, like Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry, together with First Class actors, like Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence, but also lures director Bryan Singer back to the franchise. In this exclusive featurette, the director, who helmed X-Men and X2, takes viewers behind the scenes of the May 23 comic book epic, which finds Jackman’s Wolverine sent back in time to stop a mutant/human war, and reveals why he wanted to return to the world of mutants.

Happy Birthday Taylor!

Happiest of Birthdays today to one of my very favorite actors, Taylor! Been watching his career for many years & absolutely loved his Gambit (Remy Lebeau) in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, & of course how could anyone not fall in love with his cool, good looking, womanizing fullback, Tim Riggins, in Friday Night Lights. Since FNL, he's had several movies I've loved & a few got great reviews, a couple were panned by the critics & didn't become the blockbusters & franchises they expected. But I didn't care, I loved them for the fun exciting sci-fi action thrillers they were. He did get more respect for his performance in the excellent Oliver Stone movie, Savages, & more recently his incredible portrayal of LT. Michael Murphy in Peter Berg's adaptation of "Lone Survivor" based on the book by Marcus Luttrell about the 2005 Navy SEAL team 10's Operation Red Wings. I highly recommend that movie & it appears it won't be available on Blu Ray & DVD til June 3rd. Hopefully we will get his latest indie comedy, "The Grand Seduction" here in the states, so far it's only played at a few film festivals & has received very favorable reviews. Next up is the much anticipated long awaited "The Normal Heart" to air on HBO on May 25th based on the Broadway play of the same name. He stars along with Matt Bomer, Mark Ruffalo, Jim Parsons, Julia Roberts, & several other talented actors, produced by Brad Pitt. He also did the voice for the animated movie, "Almost Heroes 3D" due out sometime later this year & then will finally start filming the crime thriller, "Exit 147". Happy Birthday John!

Happy Birthday today to one of my favorite actors to play Jonathan Kent, John Schneider!  

I'll never forget when I first saw him burst onto my little TV screen long ago as Bo Duke in the wild, crazy, & super fun Dukes of Hazzard. He was a real heartthrob! & racing around the countryside in that badass Dodge Charger, "The General Lee"! He's had a really nice career since with my favorite character of all, the Man of Steel's adopted dad, Jonathan. He played him so well with the perfect mix of a caring, loving, yet strict & strong willed father who was super devoted to raising our precious Clark. 💗 His most recent series he's been in is Tyler Perry's "The Haves & The Have Nots" on Oprah's OWN station which I do not get on my cable, but I'm sure he's doing an excellent job as always. He's got 6 new movies due out this year, although I do not know if they are made for TV movies, but I'll be on the lookout for more info, as I miss seeing him on TV. He's also rumored to play the PotUS in a movie still in development that's a sci-fi action thriller titled "The Dying Breed". Hope we get more info on that one, I'm very fond of that genre. Happy Birthday Russell!

Happy Birthday today to a major fave of mine for many many years, Russell Crowe! I’ve seen & loved or liked almost all of his movies over the years, & of course my most favorite character besides Gladiator is our own Jor-El from Man of Steel. I haven’t had the chance to see Noah yet, but I’m going this week for sure, as I’ve been wanting to see it so bad. He’s got a new movie due out some time this year in Oz with a great Aussie cast called “The Water Diviner” which sounds good & I hope it gets a US release date, then next year is “Fathers & Daughters” with Amanda Seyfried, Aaron Paul, & Diane Kruger along with several other talented actors. & in development is the long awaited much anticipated “The Dark Tower” by Stephen King, where he’s attached to play the lead, Roland Deschain, AKA the Gunslinger. I can not wait for more news of that project. He’s also been in the music industry for at least 34 years having his own band, TOFOG, (30 Odd Foot of Grunts, & now is called The Ordinary Fear of God, same acronym) Cheers & Best wishes to Russell!!! Happy Birthday Fassy!

Happiest of birthdays today to one of my very favorite actors, Fassy! I've been a big fan of his for over 8 years now & have watched his blossoming career & will continue to always be "FassyNated"!  He recently won the Empire award for his portrayal of the brutal slave owner, Edwin Epps in the Oscar winning film, 12 Years a Slave & was nominated everywhere for it as well. Next up he will reprise his role as the young Magneto in X-Men: Days of Future Past to be released in May. Then the quirky comedy, "Frank" which at this time only has an official release date in May for Ireland, hopefully we will get a release in the US too. He recently wrapped "Slow West" which is supposed to have a release date this year. He has 5 more films in various stages of production, & I can not wait to hear more about all of them. He will definitely earn that coveted Best Actor Oscar one day, mark my words. Cheers & Best wishes to Michael! Jameson Empire Awards 2014: Best Supporting Actor - Michael Fassbender

Fassy could not be at the Jameson Empire Award Show on Sunday night, but he did record a video accepting the award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of Edwin Epps in 12 Years a Slave from where he is on location filming his latest project. I just couldn’t resist posting this, I was so happy he finally won & right before his birthday, April 2nd! Congrats, Michael, it’s well deserved! & Happy early Birthday! Cheers! ♥♥♥
