Happy Birthday Taylor!

Happiest of Birthdays today to one of my very favorite actors, Taylor! Been watching his career for many years & absolutely loved his Gambit (Remy Lebeau) in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, & of course how could anyone not fall in love with his cool, good looking, womanizing fullback, Tim Riggins, in Friday Night Lights. Since FNL, he's had several movies I've loved & a few got great reviews, a couple were panned by the critics & didn't become the blockbusters & franchises they expected. But I didn't care, I loved them for the fun exciting sci-fi action thrillers they were. He did get more respect for his performance in the excellent Oliver Stone movie, Savages, & more recently his incredible portrayal of LT. Michael Murphy in Peter Berg's adaptation of "Lone Survivor" based on the book by Marcus Luttrell about the 2005 Navy SEAL team 10's Operation Red Wings. I highly recommend that movie & it appears it won't be available on Blu Ray & DVD til June 3rd. Hopefully we will get his latest indie comedy, "The Grand Seduction" here in the states, so far it's only played at a few film festivals & has received very favorable reviews. Next up is the much anticipated long awaited "The Normal Heart" to air on HBO on May 25th based on the Broadway play of the same name. He stars along with Matt Bomer, Mark Ruffalo, Jim Parsons, Julia Roberts, & several other talented actors, produced by Brad Pitt. He also did the voice for the animated movie, "Almost Heroes 3D" due out sometime later this year & then will finally start filming the crime thriller, "Exit 147".
